Vast land and water serve God's glory, places explored through imagination, accident or inspiring places, on film or in books. Spiritual resources that replenish my soul.
Growing up among 150 trees and, after 27 years in other cities, returning to Buffalo, New York, city of my birth, I was returned to walks in the woods and forests, and to Niagara Falls. For the first time in memory, waterfalls came into my paintings.
But our primary natural resources are subject to greed, plundered by those who are contemptuous of fellow humans as well as the future. I pray that the human race will sacrifice greed and preserve the magnificence of the mighty trees, oceans, lakes, rivers, streams, waterfalls, fields, all that the eye can see that humans cannot create. |
